Meet Andrea - beauty enthusiast, working mum, and NYK1 founder with over 30 years' experience in the industry - and her son, Josh, co-founder and CEO.

Andrea has always been a passionate beauty enthusiast with a love for pampering others. She started her journey as a beauty technician and loved nothing more than making her clients feel happier, more confident, and utterly fabulous with her treatments.

One day, Andrea was in desperate need of a hair treatment but, being a busy mum of 4 children, she simply didn't have the time to attend an appointment. She became determined to find a solution that would work with her busy schedule.  

Using her industry know-how, she tracked down an at-home Brazilian nano keratin treatment in the hopes that it would tame her frizz and help her to feel fabulous again. The results were amazing - just like she had been to a salon!

Andrea saw an untapped market - at-home beauty treatments that work! So, she developed a range of high-quality products, stylish packaging, and wrote fool proof instructions to help anyone (not just beauticians) complete beauty treatments at home. And that's how NYK1 was born.

With the help of her son Joshua, Andrea started to sell her products online and transformed her garage into a bustling distribution hub. She worked tirelessly, pouring her heart into the business, packing orders every night, and staying up until the early hours to chat with suppliers all over the world. She survived on just 3 hours sleep each night, before her youngest children woke up.

By 2014, demand for her products had grown so much that Andrea knew it was time to elevate her vision. She acquired an office and warehouse space and embraced the birth of an international brand. Since then, NYK1 has grown to become the beloved global beauty brand it is today.
